THEME: LITTLE BY LITTLE
Yeast is a fascinating thing. It is so small in size and yet has such a powerful effect upon the dough. The yeast works slowly and somewhat miraculously. Little by little the dough rises and is transformed. This is always something fascinating for children to watch when making bread.
Jesus uses this parable to describe the effect of God’s kingdom. At the time of the preaching of God’s kingdom, very often it meets with very little acceptance or complete rejection but through patience and perseverance, it surely spreads and the rest is history.
Life in general is like that. Whatever you plan to do just know that three things a needed to achieve desired result:
- Unyielding hope
Very often in life the journey to the top seems very slow. It’s as if there’s no progress at all. Results seem not to becoming as fast as we desire them. Our prayers seem to be falling on deaf ears. Thus, we immediately give up, abandon the right course and path and turn towards destruction. This is the very sickness of our generation. Anything that will take us much time, we consider it waste of time. We want quick money, we want pleasure immediately, we want a ready made house wife or husband who will fit into our own self-construed models or standards of a wife/husband. It doesn’t work that way.
Christy Lane has a great advice for us: Take one day at a time. Lao Tzu says: The journey of a thousand miles begins with a step and I dare to add, not just any step but a thrustful step on the right direction. And then little by little, sometimes slowly results things will fall in place. Love and family life need time, respect and sacrifice and a happy family is attained. Don’t give up now on your struggles, keep pushing, be patient and wait for your time to shine. Your time to shine will surely come in Jesus name. Amen!
GOOD MORNING AND GOD BLESS YOU. GOD BLESS NIGERIA!
